CBB Betting: 3 Best NBA Prospects Playing For Colorado

news Lần cập nhật cuối: 31 Tháng Một, 2014

The Colorado Buffaloes are off to a terrific start with 15 wins through 19 games, including a 4-2 record to open the PAC-12 portion of their schedule. Perhaps what’s most impressive about Colorado is that they don’t have a single player that is projected to go in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft, although Spencer Dinwiddie and Josh Scott have played at a high level all season, the latter of which still has time to really develop his skill set and become a legitimate prospect. Taking a closer look at some of the players can help you figure out your strategy for online betting – there are some of the most interesting prospects:

NBA Prospect #1: Josh Scott – Sophomore

NBA

Blessed with the pure size and athleticism that NBA GM’s look for, Scott has taken another major step forward in his second year at Colorado. Scott is second on the team with an average of `4.3 points per game, and he has averaged a team-high 9.1 rebounds per game. At 6’10’’, 245 pounds, Scott has the raw size that really boosts his stock, and he will continue to grow in to his body and put on size. Perhaps what helps Scott’s stock most at this time compared to other players is that he is still in his sophomore season, which means he has time to develop his game and push his way on to the NBA radar. That said, there really is no guarantee that will happen, but at this point Scott has to be considered the Buffaloes’ best NBA prospect just based on the fact that he has the raw attributes that scouts are looking to find.

NBA Prospect #2: Spencer Dinwiddie – Junior

Play NBA

The junior guard has averaged a team-high 14.7 points per game this season to go along with averages of just over three rebounds and close to four assists. At 6’6’’, 220 pounds, Dinwiddie has substantial size and his athleticism has improved with every passing year at the college level. Dinwiddie has been the Buffaloes’ most efficient scorer, although he does lack the same elite skill set that most NBA GM’s are looking for in the draft. However, his work ethic and dedication to being better could result in him working his way to becoming a legitimate role player in the NBA eventually, with still one more year to improve his craft and become a more complete player.

NBA Prospect #3: Askia Booker – Junior

NBA Sports

The longest shot in this group, Booker is an undersized guard that has served as the third option in the Colorado offense. At just 6’2’’, and 170 pounds, Booker has averaged 13.5 points per game to go along with 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists, holding his own behind both Dinwiddie and Scott. The Buffaloes have been able to challenge the top teams in the PAC-12 early on thanks to some quality depth and dedication to playing smart basketball, and Booker is one of those players that has played a major role in the team’s early success despite not being an elite NBA prospect.
